Pertussis vaccine requirement for 12th Graders starting the 2011-2012 school year
ALERT!

As of July 1, 2011, a new state law (AB 354, Chaptered 2010) requires all students entering grades seven through twelve to have a proof of vaccination (Tdap) against pertussis (whooping cough). This law applies to public and private school students.

Students who do not have proof of a pertussis vaccination after age seven years, or a written medical or personal belief exemption for Tdap, may not be admitted to school. Addtionally, please be aware that schools must report on the Tdap (pertussis immunization) status of all students entering grades 7-12 at www.ShotsForSchool.org this fall.

Online reporting of the Tdap Immunization Assessment of 7-12th Grade Students opens August 2011 and reports are due by December 1st, 2011.
